Security Guard Position Available 30 hours a week (Wednesday- Sunday, 11am- 5pm) Weekends and some evenings will be required This position offers a generous benefit package, including paid holidays, health, dental insurance, and a Simple IRA plan. $10-$11 hourly DOE Job Duties • Observe patrons within the assigned post and report any problems that occur • Prevent damage and theft in the galleries and Museum grounds • Advise visitors of Museum policies for viewing the collection. Give verbal warnings if the safety of the art is threatened • Immediately report any problems found in the assigned gallery to Security Manager and log details on daily activity report (DAR) • Answer questions from visitors and Museum staff as needed in a polite and courteous manner • Pick up objects or items that could harm visitors or employees • Evacuate visitors and employees from the Museum as quickly as possible during emergencies • Perform any additional assigned duties.
